WEST HARTFORD – Police said a man who was in critical condition after being shot in the head in a domestic violence incident in West Hartford, has died.

Police said that Michael Fuller, 32, succumbed to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on Monday at around 10:30 am.

Police said Fuller was injured in the shooting incident at a home on Jackson Avenue on Sunday around 7:30 a.m.

Police said responding officers found Fuller and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds. The woman was outside the house with three children. Fuller was inside the house with another child.

Both victims were taken to area hospitals. The woman had a gunshot wound to her arm, and was treated and released from the hospital, according to police.

This incident is being classified as a domestic violence incident. There is no additional threat to the community, according to police.

Police said Fuller and the woman are the biological parents to the four children, ranging from 3-13 years old. The children remain with family and their mother.

At this time there will be no criminal charges filed in this case but the investigation will continue, according to police.
