HARTFORD -- Tiana is an 11-month-old German Shepherd/Rottie Beagle mix. Tiana is very sweet and absolutely loves everyone and loves making new friends.
She loves to play with other dogs and has previously lived with several canines.
Tiana is still young and puppy-like, and needs her basic training; however, she’s learning some already. She was rescued from a local pound where she was a “frequent customer,” as they say.
Her family was very negligent about walking her and also about containing her. She was bored and underappreciated at home, so she would escape and have her own walk about, meeting people throughout town, and always ending up at the dog pound. Never caused any trouble, just looking for friends.
Tiana's new family should be prepared to contain her better, but it will be less an issue, if she’s getting her walks and the attention from her family that she craves.
If her new family makes her part of the family, and she is central to their activities and life, she will be more fulfilled and less apt to wander.
