NORWICH--The Connecticut Tigers and Williamsport Crosscutters met at Dodd Stadium in Norwich Tuesday night for the second of a three-game series.
The Tigers pulled out the 6-4 win, but it took some late inning heroics.
The Crosscutters jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning, and Connecticut wouldn’t get on the board until the bottom of the fourth. Williamsport had a comfortable 4-1 lead in the seventh, but then the Tigers added two runs thanks to the Crosscutters' errors.
Then, in the bottom of the seventh, Cesar Gonzalez of the Tigers drove in three runs on a triple, giving Connecticut the 6-4 win.
