HARTFORD — A Hartford family is mourning the loss of a 6-year-old girl, who was killed in Puerto Rico.
Janselyz Barbosa Torruellas was killed last month.
Her family has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise money for them to travel from Connecticut to Puerto Rico and pay for a burial for the 6-year-old.
She was killed in a shooting that also killed a 27-year-old man who was identified in news reports as her father. The shooting happened in the Villa Alegre section of Gurabo.
Hartford Public Schools put out a notice about the tragedy earlier this week on its website.
