NEW BRITAIN--Pokemon Go has a lot of people on the go these days, with smartphones and tablets in hand and eyes down.

The game is all the rage, and it's driving people to malls, parks--you name it--to find the animated characters.

In New Britain, Mayor Erin Stewart is capitalizing on the craze.

She's been tweeting and facebooking maps of Pokemon hotspots to market the city, and to draw gamers in.

"Stop at a store and get lunch or check us out and you see all the new streetscape work we have," Mayor Stewart said.

It's all fun and games, until someone walks into traffic. Mayor Stewart warns gamers against being glued to their cell phones or tablets while crossing streets.

It's also illegal to play Pokemon Go while driving.
