CANDLEOOD LAKE – Emergency crews responded to Candlewood Lake in after three boats collided Tuesday afternoon. The lake straddles the Fairfield and Litchfield county boarders, and the incident was in the Brookfield area.
A pontoon boat crashed into a motor boat and a cabin cruiser as it was trying to dock around 4:30 p.m. Nine people were on the pontoon boat, and three suffered injuries that aren’t life-threatening.
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Police, Brookfield Police and the Candlewood Lake Authority are on the scene
Both boats are now at Echo Bay Marina.
The DEEP Environmental Conservation Police are investigating the accident to determine what occurred.
