HAMDEN — A Hamden man and local TV personality was arrested on child pornography charges Wednesday.
State Police, along with the FBI, Homeland Security and the Hamden Police Department, said they executed a search warrant at 1521 Aspen Glen Drive in Hamden, as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.
Police said the investigation began in June after video files of suspected child pornography were downloaded from the internet account assigned to 33-year-old Justin Goldstein.
Police said Goldstein wasn’t home when they arrived and computers and computer-related equipment were seized from his home. Examination of that property on scene revealed files of suspected child porn.
Goldstein, who is a meteorologist at WTNH, was arrested at his place of employment. The station said in a statement he’s been suspended pending the investigation.
He was charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance and first-degree possession of child pornography.
Goldstein made his $200,000 bail and has a court date of August 12.
