STAFFORD SPRINGS–Police have arrested a man who is accused of sexually assaulting a young boy over a period of time.
A victim disclosed to his therapist that when he was 10 years old, a man started sexually abusing him. The abuse went on for four years.
Police began investigating in February 2016, and arrested Christian Kovaciny, 61, of Stafford Springs on Wednesday. He turned himself in at the State Police Troop C barracks.
Kovaciny is charged with illegal sexual contact of a victim under age 16; sexual assault in the first degree of a victim between ages 2 and 13; and sexual assault in the fourth degree of a victim under age 15. He posted $250,000 bond and appeared in court on Thursday.
