HARTFORD--And all. That. Jazzzzzzzz.

Thousands of music fans came out to Hartford Friday night to enjoy some world-class jazz, picnics, and lots of company.

The Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz at Bushnell Park is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and events are being held all weekend.

When asked why she turned out, despite the incredible heat, Liz White, of Middletown, said, "I think the whole atmosphere of it. It's very calm. It's soothing. You're surrounded by friends and family and the music here brings everyone up. Dance. It's just a great time."

The Hartford festival is the 17th largest jazz event in the United States.
