MIDDLETOWN – A Middletown family is begging for help one year after the disappearance of their loved one.

Nina Coe was last seen July 16, 2015, in the middle of the afternoon when she returned from an appointment.

A year later, family friends and police are still searching for the now 57-year-old.

Middletown Police issued a Silver Alert for Coe.

At a candlelight vigil, Saturday, her siblings spoke about the devastation they have experienced in the last year.

“This is a continued thing day in and day out for one full year that we have to deal with this, we need closure,” her brother, Michael Plourde, said.

Plourde said they will do whatever it takes to find their sister, including storming into the Middletown police department, chanting “Nina needs justice!”

“It's been very frustrating it feels that her case is under the pile,” he said. “I want answers. There`s a lot of questions that need to be answered and we need them answered and I want my sister found.”

The Middletown Police Department is still looking into her disappearance.

In March, Police said it is suspected she met with foul play as it is “not in her character to lose contact with her family for such a lengthy period of time.”

Gov. Dannel P. Malloy signed an Offer of Reward of up to $20,000, to anyone providing information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons found guilty of a crime committed against Coe in relation to her disappearance.

“What about if this happened to some of you out there? Plourde asked. “One day you might get up and your loved one might be gone, well that’s what happened to this family, we thought that would never happen but it did and its very devastating.”

Nina is 5'2" tall, 130 pounds and wears glasses and has a tattoo on her leg.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Middletown Police at 860-638-4000.
