CROMWELL — A Cromwell woman is facing charges after police said she was drunk when she struck a motorcycle with her vehicle, injuring both passengers.

Ursula Cinque, 43, of Shunpike Road, is charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence.

Police said the crash happened early Sunday morning, just after midnight, on Shunpike Road, between Sanford Lane and Sovereign Ridge, in Cromwell. Both the driver and the passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. They suffered serious injuries and were taken to Hartford Hospital. The driver was in serious, but stable condition, and the passenger was in critical condition.

Cinque is being held on $25,000 bail. She’s scheduled to appear in court July 18.

It’s unclear whether she has retained a lawyer who could comment on her behalf.
