NORTH BRANFORD — Two people were killed in a crash Monday morning.
The accident happened at 630 Foxon Road around 5:15 a.m. in front of North Branford High School. Police said one of the cars crossed the center lane and it the other car head-on. One of the cars caught fire following the crash.
John Fragola, 67, of Killingworth and Mario Simmons, 51, of North Branford, died from their injuries.
The road was closed between Caputo Road and Forest Road, but has since reopened.
Police from both Branford and New Haven are investigating the crash. If anyone has information about the crash, they are asked to call 203-484-2703.
