NEW HAVEN–If you go around the world, there are some pretty awesome dwellings. You can live under water, in a castle, in the side of a cave…or in a lighthouse?

Well, maybe you can’t live in it, but you can own it! The Southwest Ledge Lighthouse in New Haven is up for sale. The government is asking for $10,000 to get in on the auction, and the starting bid to purchase is $25,000–but no one’s put in an offer yet.

The Southwest Ledge Lighthouse was built in 1877 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

It’s one of three lighthouses in the state of Connecticut currently on the market.
