One seriously injured in Wethersfield accident, Prospect St. reopens

WETHERSFIELD — One person was seriously injured in an accident in Wethersfield Tuesday morning.

Around 9:30 a.m., Officers responded to a report of a car and truck accident on Prospect Street (Rt. 287) at the intersection with Dunham Street, across from the Incarnation Church.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital for serious injuries, according to Lt. Andrew Power. The driver of the truck was taken to the hospital too, but only suffered minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours between Willow Street and Ridge Road, but has since reopened.
