HARTFORD -- With the tensions rising between communities and law enforcement across the country, Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara spoke to FOX 61 about how the tension effects officers here in Connecticut.

He said it’s a confusing time to be a police officer, and officers fear for their own safety when there is an attack against law enforcement.  However, he said they still do their job and look forward to serving their community.  He said they come to work with an abundance of caution and vigilance.
