HARTFORD–Police are investigating several unconfirmed bomb threats across the capital city, but they appear to be fake.

Hartford Police Deputy Chief Brian Foley said multiple municipal building across the city, including the Hartford police and fire headquarters on High Street, got bomb threats on Wednesday.

Crime analysts were investigating, but preliminary information indicated this was a “swatting” incident, and that the threats weren’t real. That was later confirmed, and now Hartford Police are linking the incident to an investigation going on in Bristol.

There wasn’t an interruption to public safety services at any time, Foley said. No buildings were evacuated, but resources were on standby as the investigation continued to ensure safety.
