HARTFORD — Police arrested a man in connection with two store robberies and an assault that happened last year.
On Tuesday, Randall Michaels, 33, of Hartford, was charged with counts of robbery first degree, conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, assault, larceny, reckless endangerment, and carrying a dangerous weapon.
Police said Michaels participated in robberies on November 18, 2015 of the Subway at 975 Main Street, Newington, and on December 7, 2015 of the Quick Stop Convenience Store, 1125 Willard Avenue.
During the robbery of Quick Stop, the store clerk was assaulted, said police.
According to police, Michaels was armed with a handgun during of both robberies.
Michaels was held on a total bond of $450,000 and appeared in court on July 26.
