OLD SAYBROOK – Police have identified the man who died Saturday in an accident at a marina.
The Old Saybrook Police and Fire Department were called to 29 Essex Road, Brewers Ferry Point Marian, for a man who was missing Saturday evening.
Francis Gentile, 72, of Kensington, was identified by police. Gentile was a member of the marina and had a boat docked there.
A search was conducted in the area of the docks and he was located under the water.
Medical personnel treated the victim on scene and on the way to Middlesex Medical Center in Westbrook.
He was pronounced dead at the medical center.
The incident is under investigation by Old Saybrook Police. They indicate this may have been accidental.
