NEWPORT, RI -- It's the annual pilgrimage for the American Athletic Conference football media day.
All twelve teams gave the media a chance to meet and get to know the head coaches and several players from each roster.
Coach Bob Diaco brought four seniors from the UConn Husky squad including to Connecticut natives Noel Thomas and Matthew Walsh.
The two day event also gave the players a chance to mingle amongst themselves off the grid iron in a more cordial environment including the annual clam bake. Besides the heavy rain clouds another subject was hanging over the event, talk of the BIG 12 conference expansion has several of the AAC teams mentioned as possible candidates.
