EAST HAVEN – East Haven police are looking for two men suspected of an armed robbery of an AT&t store on Saturday morning.
Police said that Saturday, just after 10:30, they responded to Foxon Boulevard for a robbery. When they got there, they learned that two black men, dressed in dark-colored clothing and masks, entered the store and one man had a gun. He ordered an employee and a customer to the back room where they were them on the floor.
The two men emptied a safe of iPhones and loaded them into a bag. They also took an unspecified amount of cash.
While the two men were in the back room, a customer walked in. The man with the gun is seen on surveillance footage pointing it at her, and she ran out of the store.
The men left in a silver Nissan Maxima with Massachusetts plates heading towards New Haven. The vehicle in question was later recovered unoccupied in the area of Shelton Avenue and Goodrich Street in New Haven.
The two are described as approximately 5’10”, 215-240 lbs., one wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans and one wearing a blue “Champion” hooded sweatshirt with dark jeans. The suspect wearing the blue “Champion” hooded sweatshirt was the one with the gun.
East Haven Police said the investigation is ongoing. They ask anyone with information to call them at 203-468-3827.
