Two men arrested, heroin seized, after New London drug bust

NEW LONDON – Police said they seized over 100 grams of heroin in New London Tuesday morning.

Police said they raided 49 Garfield Avenue, #1 in New London at around 11 a.m. and found 110 grams of pure heroin (meaning it was 70 percent or greater of pure heroin,) as well as $400 in cash and drug packaging material.

Hector Abreu,27, and Rene Rosado, 51, were both arrested by the Connecticut State Police and charged with the possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school and operating a drug factory. Additionally, Abrue was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on an immigration arrest warrant, according to police.
