Person accidentally shot in East Hartford: police

EAST HARTFORD–Police and medical personnel are responding to a shooting in East Hartford.

According to the East Hartford deputy chief, a call for an accidental discharge of a firearm came in to 911 around 11:15 a.m. The incident occurred in a home on Chester Street, not far from the intersection with Great Hill Road.

The person who was shot has minor injuries. Police say there was nothing suspicious about the accident, and they processed the scene quickly.
