UNCASVILLE - Friday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena, coach Jim Calhoun held his annual Husky Alumni basketball game to raise money for the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at the UConn Heath Center.
On the court were the usual suspects, like Ray Allen, Khalid Al-Emin, and Jeremy Lamb, but a new twist to this year's line up had alumni from the women's program, including Nykesha Sales, Mel Thomas, and Caroline Doty.
Players from both programs used the night as an informal basketball program reunion and, although the night was for charity, with the talent that was on the court the action quickly took on a more serious tone.
