HARTFORD -- Jorah is a Miniature Pinscher/Chihuahua mix who is a 7-months-old, neutered male. He is the last of a litter of pups that we rescued through local animal control, who pulled them from a home.

He's been here before with others from the same litter, and he still needs a home.

Jorah is a happy, friendly, and outgoing dog. He’s got lots of energy, but he uses it well, and enjoys constructive playtime, but he needs lots of it.

Jorah gets along with other dogs with his speed, energy and size and would make a good playmate for a home that is looking for a playmate for another dog.  He’s in foster now with three other dogs, and his best buddy is a little Jack Russell mix.

Jorah also gets along with cats, but wants to play with them. He is not comfortable with children, unless they are dog-savvy teenagers.  Small kids make him uncomfortable.

Jorah is housebroken and is just losing his last few puppy teeth now.

He has a bold, confident personality, evident of the Pinscher in him.  He’s also super smart. He’ll need a family who can keep him in-line, because he’s the type of little guy who’ll take a mile, if you give him an inch.

In a structured environment, he’ll thrive and be a happy, fun little dude.
