NEW BRITAIN - A 5K road race in memory of Sara Krolikowski was held Saturday. She died suddenly last December at the age of 27 and the event was held to raise money for young adults in programs that she supported.
Krolikowski was involved with Advocacy Unlimited, an organization that offers comprehensive recovery and advocacy education for people with or in recovery from mental health and/or addiction issues.
Sara was described by her family and friends as selfless, energetic, passionate, loving, and embodied everything that a good person should be.
The race started at 8:15 Saturday morning in Walnut Hill Park.
