HARTFORD - Dan Carter, Republican Candidate for U.S. Senate, explains to Al his criticism of incumbent Democrat Sen. Richard Blumenthal on national security and Blumenthal's no vote on a bill providing funding to fight the Zika virus. Blumenthal and others said they felt it didn't provide enough money.
Meanwhile, Blumenthal is pushing the U.S. Postal Service to re-issue a stamp recognizing Gold Star families. He'll introduce legislation in September to issue the stamp again if the Postmaster General doesn't re-issue it, saying he got the idea from a Greenwich resident who wrote to him about it.
