EAST LYME – I-95 south has reopened following a seven vehicle crash .
Six cars and a tractor trailer were involved in a crash around 8:50 p.m. on I-95 southbound near exit 73. One of the cars rolled over, and the occupant was trapped inside and had to be extricated.
Six vehicles had slowed in traffic and a tractor-trailer failed to reduce it’s speed and crashed into the last in line, then moved to the median where it hit the five others. One of the vehicles also struck some others in the chain reaction.
Three drivers were taken to the hospital for suspected minor injuries.
