VERNON–An investigation is ongoing after several cars caught fire in Vernon on Wednesday.
According to the Vernon Fire Department, at 5:23 a.m. firetrucks responded to Becker Place in the Rockville section of town for reports of cars on fire. The fire also extended to a garage, which was damaged.
The fire department says the incident is being investigated.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe has been set up for the victims, who are engaged and now don’t have a car to get around in. The family says that their cars were broken into and set on fire, and that this was a “horrible and careless crime.”
