Suspect arrested with $80,000 worth of heroin: Hartford police

HARTFORD — Police detectives arrested a man carrying what they say was $80,000 of heroin, a handgun,other drugs and packing materials.

Police said they arrested a convicted felon from East Hartford with a loaded  handgun, mask and marijuana. Luis Santiago, 45, was arrested on charges of possession for narcotics and sale of narcotics as well as a previously issued warrant.

Hartford police seized 1.5 Kilos of uncut heroin, which they say has a street value of around $80,000, $7040.00  in cash, 100 grams of cocaine, bags of heroin stamped “great job”, 80 grams of Black Tar heroin, $1.600 worth of packing material, cutting agents and a hand gun.

Detectives also seized over $2,000 and packaging materials at a Manchester hotel.
