Patriots lose to Giants 17-9 as both wrap up preseason


EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The New England Patriots and the New York Giants wrapped  up their preseason schedule in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Tom Brady played the entire first half, but Eli Manning did not play.

After the first quarter, Brady threw a short pass to Keshawn Martin for a 7-yards touchdown to go up 6-0, after the following 2-point conversion attempt failed.

The Giants got a field goal in the second quarter to make the score 6-3 at halftime.

As the game entered the fourth quarter, the score stood at 10-9, and the Giants had the lead. Roger Lewis, Jr. caught a TD to make it 17-9 with just over 8 minutes left to go.
