GREENWICH - On Saturday, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy wrapped up his walk across Connecticut.
He embarked on this journey, he said, to take to the streets and dirt roads and listen to and get feedback from state residents.
Murphy completed his 120-mile journey in Greenwich after walking though through the towns of Darien and Stamford.
During his journey he said his constituents brought him concerns and ideas that he plans to bring back to Washington after this unique approach to keeping in touch with state residents.
In June, Murphy made national headlines when he led other Democratic senators in a nearly 15-hour filibuster demanding votes on gun control measures just days after a mass shooting at a Florida gay nightclub.
