COLCHESTER - One person has been killed in a house fire in Connecticut on Saturday night.
The Colchester Fire Department, along with several other towns, responded to a fire on 32 Mill Street at around 10:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, Connecticut State Troopers and firefighters found one person who had life-threatening injuries. A second victim was found dead on scene.
LifeStar took the injured victim to Shriner's Hospital in Rhode Island.
State police say the Office of the Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the manner and cause of death. Identification of the victims is pending notification of next of kin.
No other injuries were reported.
The fire remains under investigation. The investigation will include determining cause and origin of the fire.
