LEBANON – Fire crews have contained a six-acre brush fire that broke out on 164 Leonard Bridge Road in Lebanon Monday.

According to Fire Chief John Lyon, the wind made it difficult at first, and there were actually five fires to contend with over the six-acre area.

He said there were 65 volunteer firefighters from multiple towns, along with the State Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Fire Unit, who helped out.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time.

There are no injuries and no structures were involved. Some firefighters remain to make sure there the fires don’t reignite.
