HARTFORD - A fire that broke out in a Hartford home Monday afternoon has been called suspicious.
The Hartford Fire Department responded to the two-alarm fire on Deerfield Avenue in Hartford, near Albany Avenue.
There was heavy fire on the second floor of the multi-family home and it extended to the attic.
Eleven people were displaced and two kittens were rescued from the fire.
least one firefighter was treated at the scene by paramedics and appeared to be conscious and alert.
The investigation is continuing.
