Car crashes into Manafort Brothers building in Plainville, police searching for driver

PLAINVILLE — A car crashed into a building overnight and police are searching for the driver who ran from the scene.

Plainville Police and fire personnel responded to 414 New Britain Ave., the Manafort Brothers Building, Tuesday morning.

A car had driven through a fence and then into the building, leaving significant damage.

The car, a Saturn LS, punched a hole in the building and was hanging on a fence.

Police said the car does not appear to be stolen and they were looking for the driver.

Paul Manafort, former campaign manager for Donald Trump, is related to the owners of the business.
