Sophomores Luke Adams and Perry Madison and junior Jade Sharkany dropped the books this summer to hit up the obstacle course. The three UConn students just returned from shooting an episode of "Team Ninja Warrior - College Edition."

All three students submitted audition tapes to compete on the Esquire Network program and were selected to compete against college teams from all over the country.

"It was an amazing experience overall," Perry Madison said.

Both Madison and Adams are proficient in Parkour--a workout involving jumping, climbing and tumbling in everyday surroundings--which gave them an edge for the show.

The students can't divulge the outcome of the reality show competition, but mentioned they were pitted against tough teams from M.I.T. and Texas A&M.

Sharkany added, "For me, it was one of the best experiences of my life."

The episode of Team Ninja Warrior featuring the UConn students is set to run in about six weeks on the Esquire Network.
