WILLIMANTIC–An investigation is ongoing in Willimantic, where a person died on Wednesday.
It appears the death occurred on Valley Street, not far from a Stop and Shop and Windham Hospital.
Police say the death is suspicious, and Willimantic police called in the Eastern District Major Crime Unit and State’s Attorney’s Office to help investigate.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will do an autopsy on the body to determine the manner and cause of death, and to help confirm the person’s identity. Police aren’t release information on the identity yet since they need to notify family members.
