HARTFORD--The investigation into the deck collapse at a Trinity College party that sent almost 30 people to the hospital Saturday night is ongoing, and the latest development is the release of several 911 calls made from the scene.

On Saturday night around 11:15 p.m. the top two levels of a three-story deck at a Broad Street home collapsed during a house party, and several students broke bones and got cut up pretty bad. The worst injury was a broken pelvis.

About five to 10 people were on each level of the balcony, with about 50 on the ground level. Several people called 911.

Hartford Police have two major crime detectives on this case, and are investigating if there were code violations on the house, as well as if underage drinking was going on. However, in a press release, Hartford Police said this "event does not appear to be a 'wild college party' typically associated with these types of incidents."

The university owns the property, but it's managed by a private company. Five people live in the house, and they did notify the college they were holding a party where alcohol would be served ahead of time.

Here is a statement released by Trinity college on Monday night:

Trinity College is continuing to care for students who were affected by the balcony collapse that occurred on Saturday, September 10, 2016, especially those students who were injured, students present at the social gathering during the accident, residents of the house where the incident occurred, friends and families, and the staff and other responders at the scene.

Two students who were injured in the accident remain in the hospital with moderate injuries and one is expected to be released within 24 hours. The Dean of Students is in contact with the students and their families for ongoing support.

Trinity is in the process of investigating the incident and we will be cooperating with any authorities representing the City of Hartford in their review of this incident. The property is owned by the College and is managed by an outside property manager. Accommodations have been made for the five student residents of the house. The house cannot be occupied, and the students have been relocated to other campus housing.

The Trinity community is continuing to process and recover from the incident, and on Sunday at 4:00 p.m., students, support staff, and faculty gathered in the Trinity College Chapel to reflect and offer care and support to one another.

Trinity Counseling Center staff and Chaplains remain available to students, and urgent requests for assistance should be directed to Campus Safety.
