WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The Big E kicks off its 100th anniversary Friday, but The Big E Bash will be missing its guest DJ. Shaquille O’Neal, also known as DJ Diesel, cancelled his show at The Big E to instead perform at a benefit for flood victims in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

“Eastern States Exposition regrets any inconvenience this has caused our fairgoers,” the fair said in a statement. “The Big E Bash, celebrating the Fair’s 100th anniversary, will still take place as originally planned.”

Big E Bash ticket holders who wish to receive a refund must contact the box office here.

The Big E is New England’s largest fair, and also the fifth largest fair in North America.

Last year, reality TV star and hotel heiress Paris Hilton DJed the fair.

Other concerts and entertainment this year include X Ambassadors, Elle King, Maren Morris, Lee Brice, and The Cowsills.

The fair runs from September 16 through October 2.
