BRISTOL — A Connecticut coaster came out on top of a 2016 wooden roller coasters list.
The Boulder Dash coaster at Lake Compounce in Bristol outscored the competition. The Wooden Warrior coaster at Quassy Amusement Park in Middlebury also cracked the top 50, coming in at 46.
At what is called “the Academy Awards of the amusement industry,” winners of Amusement Today’s 2016 Golden Ticket Awards were revealed on September 10 at Cedar Point, an amusement park and resort along the shores of Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio.
The Golden Ticket Awards are presented annually and are calculated from an international poll conducted by Amusement Today.
