NEW HAVEN–Less than 24 hours after a Hillhouse High School Football player was rushed to the hospital after being shot in the stomach and thigh, two more New Haven teens are recovering at the hospital from gunshot wounds.

At 6:35 p.m. on Friday, people called 911 to report the sound of gunfire in the area of Winchester Avenue, near Lilac Street. Callers eventually found two victims, one at the intersection and one in front of 7/9 Lilac Street.

The victims are aged 14 and 15, and were each shot once in the lower extremities. Both are from New Haven, and neither injury is life-threatening.

So far, the only lead police have on a suspect is that a white car, possibly a Dodge Intrepid with New York license plates, may have been involved.
