OLD SAYBROOK – A crash has left Route 9 closed in Old Saybrook for much of the evening.
A two-car crash occurred between exits 2 and 1 in the southbound direction around 9 p.m. The road closed at that time, and State Police said that as of 11 p.m. it was expected to remain closed for several more hours. It reopened at around 5 a.m. Wednesday morning.
It was not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.
