ROXBURY–State Police report that a man who was found unconscious in his car on Wednesday died from his injuries, and he has been identified as Mia Farrow’s son.

State Police say that at 12:45 p.m. on Wednesday, they responded to a medical call on Route 67 in Roxbury, just north of Carriage Lane. They found an adult man in the car suffering from a life-threatening injury.

The man was taken to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:30 p.m.

Police have identified that man as Thaddeus Wilk Farrow, 27, of Torrington. Actress Mia Farrow acknowledged that he was her son and had died.

His identity was widely reported before Mia Farrow’s confirmation since the deceased had the same name and age as Mia’s son. Mia Farrow has a home in Bridgewater where Thaddeus used to live.

The actress adopted Thaddeus, who contracted polio in an orphanage in Kolkata, India, and was paralyzed from the waist down.

In a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, she said that she first saw Thaddeus in a railway station and he was crawling on his hands and stubs for food. She also said that at an orphanage he was chained to a post and children would throw rocks at him.

After being adopted by Farrow, he realized he had a knack for fixing cars. But after reportedly being turned by a technical school, he eventually decided he wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner said on Thursday that Farrow killed himself. He died from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Police had initially said there was no criminal aspect to the death.
