POMFRET – Two men face drug charges after a Tuesday night traffic stop on Route 44 in Pomfret.

State Police said that just before 6:30 p.m. they pulled over a 2005 Chevy Impala car for failing to drive right.

Police said the driver, who they knew, was David Hetu, 25, of Thompson, and they said he was “extremely nervous” and admitted to having heroin hidden in his boot. The passenger seat, Greg Raymond, 31, of Putnam, also admitted to having heroin in his pants pocket, according to police.

Both men were charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with intent to sell, according to police.

Police ended up seizing 19.1 grams, or 77 folds, of heroin from the men.

Raymond was released on a $1,000 bail and Hetu posted $5,000 bail.

Both are due Oct. 4 in Danielson Superior Court.
