DURHAM--Fall is officially here! And you know what that means: fair season is in full swing.

On Thursday, the Durham Fair began. It is the state's largest agricultural event, and runs all weekend.

Not only can you see animals of all sorts, there will be nationally-known performers, fair rides, thousands of exhibits and tons of fun food. Click here for more on attractions you can visit.

This year, you can see rock band Foreigner on Saturday at 7; as well as Old Dominion, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas and other acts. Click here for a full schedule.

The fair, which is in its 97th year, is located at the Durham Fairgrounds, near the intersection of Route 77, Route 17 and Route 68.

The fair is open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday; 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday; 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Entry is $13, kids 12-21 are $10, and kids 11 and under are free.
