WOLCOTT - Two women accused of breaking into a Wolcott home are due in court Friday morning.
Vanessa Alvarado, 19, and Taylor Grant, 20, are facing burglary and larceny charges stemming from an incident that happened on August 31 when police responded to a report of a break-in.
Police said one of the homeowners confronted Alvarado as she was hiding inside a bathroom shower. The homeowner told police she handed him a bag of jewelry, said she was sorry, and took off.
Police said Grant was sitting outside in the getaway car.
Police caught them after they had trouble driving their car. Police said the car was stolen from Naugatuck.
