WEST HAVEN – The West Haven Police Department is looking into a suspicious fire that broke out at an abandoned West Haven motel Monday afternoon.
The call came in at around 4:30 of a fire at the Debonair Beach Motel at 295 Beach Street in West Haven.
“The fire was contained to a couple of rooms at the end of the building,” according to Sgt. David Tammaro of the West Haven Police Department. He said the Fire Marshall believes the fire was set intentionally.
The fire caused property damage only, and there were no injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
