Manchester police arrest 2 after robbery during drug deal
MANCHESTER — Police arrested two men Wednesday who they say robbed a man who was there to sell them marijuana.
Zeequan Groves, 24, and Jeffrey Hightower, 18, both of Manchester were arrested after an investigation into a robbery Tuesday afternoon. Police said a marijuana dealer was called to School Street to make a deal. When he got to the home, the suspects held up a knife and a gun and robbed the victim of the marijuana and his cash, according to police.
Police arrested Groves on robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit burglary, larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
Hightower, was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit burglary, and conspiracy to commit larceny. He was held on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
The case remains under investigation.
