NEW LONDON — A toddler was one of five people sprayed in the face during a domestic violence incident in New London Thursday night.
Just before 7 p.m., police were called to home to investigate. Witnesses told police Destinie Seales, 38, went to the home and “caused a disturbance” over a family matter.
Police said that during the disturbance, Seales sprayed some a “citrus-type spray agent” through the screen door hitting multiple people.
One victim said they were struck directly in the face, while the four others, including a three-year-old, suffered residual effects of the spray. Victims said there was burning sensation in their eyes, their skin was red, and they were coughing.
Seales was charged with 5 counts of assault, risk of injury to a minor, and breach of peace.
She was held on bond and appeared in court Friday.
