MIDDLETOWN – Police said a suspicious vehicle is approaching children at a bus stop in Middletown.

Police said that on Thursday and Friday a small silver or gray SUV with an Indian-looking mana driving was in the area where children were waiting for a bus.

Police said that on Thursday he asked the children if they wanted candy and on Friday morning he drove by children waiting at bus stop, then slowly turned around and drove away.

Police said that the incident occurred in the area of East Street in the Westfield section of Middletown.

Police said the Board of Education was notified and that anyone witnessing any similar types of incidents should contact the Middletown Police Department at 860-638-4000.

Police ask parents to take this opportunity to remind their children to stay safe and to not take anything from strangers. They said to tell them not to go near this man or near their vehicles and find the closest trusted adult if any stranger approaches them.
